Buin Zoo Biopark

Education and wildlife conservation

Buin Zoo Biopark is located in the Metropolitan Region of Chile and is a member of the Latin American Association of Zoos and Aquariums (ALPZA). With more than 3,000 animals from 450 different species, Buin Zoo has earned a strong reputation for its conservation initiatives, high-level care of endangered species, and improvement programs for the optimal health of the animals.

At Buin Zoo, I wore two hats: as a Graphic Designer, I created everything from massive banners and flyers to technical sheets, print ads, TV graphics, social media content, and banner designs.

My work was everywhere! But that wasn’t all—I also took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing the design of educational spaces to bring the habitats and stories of the zoo’s animals to life. It was the perfect mix of creativity and project coordination, all in the name of inspiring a love for wildlife.

Branding

Campaign design

Every year, Buin Zoo holds the Nighttime Adventures during the weekend evenings in January, a themed event that showcases the zoo at night. This time, the theme was “Indians and Cowboys,” and I was in charge of designing various graphic pieces, such as flyers, large-format prints, materials for print media, as well as banners and social media content.

Project Management

During my time at the biopark, I led thematic space design projects focused on representing animals and their habitats. One of these projects involved designing the space for the Orangutan, showcasing its characteristics and creating an immersive experience for visitors.
